Prayer
When we open the door on a spiritual search with our whole lives thrown into it,
we shall find Him always ready to receive our feeblest approaches
and our most selfish and childish prayers and our always entirely unworthy selves.
He is always ready to get down to business with us. T
he experimental approach seems to me to be the essence
of our finding the help of a Higher Power.
We first lean on another human being who seems to be finding the answer,
and then we lean on the Higher Power that stands behind him.

From the Big Book:
"What usually happens? The show doesn't come off very well. He begins to think life doesn't threat him right. He decides to exert himself more. He becomes, on the next occasion, still more emanding or gracious as the case may be. Still the play does not suit him."
c.1939, AAWS, Alcoholics Anonymous, How It Works, p. 61.
Prayer for the day:
"I pray that I may hasten to accept the gift of abundant spiritual life. I pray that I may live the good life to the best of my ability."
c. 1975, Hazelden Foundation, Twenty-Four Hours A Day, Aug 14.
Quote for the day:
"Use what language you will, you can never say anything but what you are." __Ralph Waldo Emerson
My share:
It is not important how you pray only that you do. When I pray I sound often like a broken record. Please (God) I seek to know your will for me today. Be GoodTo You, Dave.
