EFFECTIVE TIME USAGE DETERMINES SUCCESS
Everyday you make an investment of your time in your chosen activities.
You cannot save time for later use.
You have to use it as it comes.
And you only have 24 hours to each day.
Try to get the most out of the time you have.
Focus your efforts on doing those things that will have the most
significant impact on your life and your work.
Do the important things first and stay focused on them until they are done.
Nothing makes you more effective than your ability to stay focused.
Challenge yourself to stay focused.
You'll be amazed at how much you'll get done,
when you actually work the whole time you're working.
Your time is precious and cannot be replaced.
Use it effectively with focus and get things done.
Don't serve time, make time serve you. __The Daily Guru

From the Big Book:
"Suddenly the thought crossed my mind that if I were to put an ounce of whiskey in my milk it couldn't hurt me on a full stomach.  I ordered a whiskey and poured it in my milk.  I vaguely sensed I was not being any too smart, but felt reassured as I was taking the whiskey on a full stomach.  The experiment went so well that I ordered another whiskey and poured it into more milk.  That didn't seem to bother me so I tried another. Thus started one more trip to the asylum for Jim." c. 1939, Alcoholics Anonymous, More About Alcoholism, p. 36.

Prayer for the day:
"I pray that I may rely on God in dealing with people's problems.
I pray that I may try to follow His guidance in all personal relationships."
c. 1975, Hazelden Foundation, Twenty-Four Hours A Day, May 9.

Quote for the day:
"Advice is seldom welcome, and those who want it the most always like it the least."
__Lord Chesterfield

My share:
I try to focus on the path that will lead to my goals. Distractions abound.  Everywhere I look, billboards, magazines, TV, even the grocery store, alcohol consumption is promoted.  They make it look harmless, glamorous and enticing.  Many around me are using it with few if any consequences.  If I lose focus, I could forget what it did to me, how devastating an effect it had on me and my life.  I choose to never forget.  Today depends on that.  Be Good To You, Dave
