What gets you out of bed in the morning?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 11, 2008:
Commitment to adventure gets me out of bed.
I'm reminded of an old song, 'Red, Red, Robin...up, get up, get out of bed, wake up, wake up, you sleepy-head, cheer up, cheer up, the sky is red, live, laugh , love and be happy.
Despite the stiffness, and the pain, involved in getting out of bed in the morning, there is an excitement in wanting to find out what this new day has in store for me. Sure, I know that I have to get up and go to work or to school or whatever. But in the doing of those hum-drum everyday things, lies another chance to know God's will for me. My commitment to that adventure motivates me to live, laugh, love and be happy.

When the Red Red Robin keeps bob bob bobbin along, along, there'll be no more sobbing when he stars bobbin along, along. Wake up, wake up, wake up, you sleepy head, get up, get up, get up, get out of bed, cheer up, cheer up, cheer up, the sun is Red, Live, Love, Laugh and be happy…………………………..God help me………….I know the entire thing. LOL
My younger brother used to sing this when he was 5. How peculiar. You just brought back the most insanely beautiful memory for me. Thank You.
